Redbone builds hunting calls. Lots of contests are won by comp callers who have chosen to use our calls -- but we build hunting calls -- Realism and accuarcy as compared to live bird sound is the overwhelming consideration in our design and construction method. RedBone selects material and construction methods without consideration for what the best stuff we can get or the best job we can do on each individual call will cost. The characteristics that make RedBone's great hunting calls are what comp callers like about them on the stage.

Competition wins are individual accomplishments. They are the result a of desire to compete, a willingness to take the time and make the effort to practice, practice and practice some more. Competition callers seek out the best calls they can get their hands on. The search for the "right" call is a never ending deal - they will use what they truly believe to be best.

A NO cheap parts and NO cheap labor concept lets us build a high performance hunting call that is being used in the feild and on the contest stage. RedBones are being used to win contests and the folks who are winning these contests are using the same call on the stage that they use in the field.

The significance that contest victorys have to a callmaker is not only that their calls win - but that the people who are as serious and dedicated to the "game" as comp callers are, choose to use their calls. Successful comp callers are a serious and particular bunch of folks. They are looking for specific sound and operating characteristics. RedBone is fortunate that some very serious and competitive people are choosing to use their calls.

After 40 years of testing and experimenting with different construction techniques and materials we've decided on a hand shaped musical grade brass toneboard and a cast acrylic wedge system.
Our recommendation for maximum performance is our brass/acrylic guts with cast acrylic barrels and inserts.
RedBone will continue to look for better methods and materials but we really like the brass gutted 2009 and 2010 - excellent effort to volume ratio, a wide operating pressure range and exceptonally realistic down range sound qualities.
Thank you for taking time to stop by and we hope you enjoy your visit
